The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) has updated their Isolation/Quarantine Guidance. This allows many of the individuals who receive support through OPWDD that have been fully vaccinated and have received all applicable boosters to follow the same Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Department of Health (DOH) guidance that applies to the general population, which means that they will not be required to self-isolate even after being exposed to COVID-19. Exceptions include: individuals who live in Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) or those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised. These individuals must continue to follow the 10-day rule after exposure, regardless of their vaccination status.
OPWDD also updated their Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Mandatory Face Coverings in OPWDD Certified Services and Facilities document to reflect that staff may now choose not to wear face coverings when outdoors if they can safely maintain a social distance of 6 feet or more.
