This year marks the 202nd celebration of Florence Nightingale’s birthday, May 12, 1820. She is considered by many to have founded modern nursing practices. The weeklong celebration kicks off on May 6, National Nurses Day, and culminates on Friday, May 12. This year, the American Nursing Association will be focusing the entire month of May on four focus areas: Self-Care, Recognition, Professional Development, and Community Engagement.
Nurses work in a variety of healthcare settings; all dedicated to their profession and the individuals they support. We honor, salute, and thank nursing professionals for their service and commitment.
We are very proud of the nursing professionals on our team. Their knowledge and experience is helping us fulfill our mission in assisting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) live a quality life.
