Care Design NY member, Derrick McGuinness, was one of the 44 individuals recognized this year with NYSID’s 2022 William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award. The Harrison Industries Team at The Arc Lexington nominated Derrick for this award for his exceptional job performance and steadfast commitment over the past nine years. Derrick is responsible for assembly and packaging of NYSID personal care kits along with the restocking of the assembly link. His supervisor stated, “Derrick is my go-to -guy. He is the firstcall that I make when I put our line together for assembly. He inspires those around him with his good work ethic.” On December 12, The Arc Lexington honored Derrick and presented him with the Joslin award (see photo). His Care Design NY Care Manager, Holly Falsarella stated, “I have had the pleasure of working with Derrick for several years now. Derrick is always happy and motivated. He’s also very caring and compassionate. I am so proud of Derrick’s achievements, and I have watched his journey since day one. Derrick is always willing to step in where he is needed, and he inspires others around him.  Great job to Derrick on receiving this award. Keep up the amazing work that you do daily.”
