The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has authorized a second booster four months after their first booster for people 50 and older; and a second booster 4 months after their first booster for people 12 and older with certain immune deficiencies.
On January 14, 2022, the Secretary of Health and Human Services renewed the determination that a public health emergency exists, which went into effect on January 16, 2022.
1.18.22 - As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now recommends the following in relation to COVID-19 vaccines:
12.10.21 - Governor Kathy Hochul announced masks are now required to be worn in all indoor public places unless businesses or venues implement a vaccine requirement. This action is to address the rise in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations rise statewide and is in alignment with the CDC's recommendations for communities with substantial and high transmission.
