Valuing Diversity & Inclusion

At Care Design NY, we live our commitment to foster an environment of respect and inclusion for all employees, members, families, and all stakeholders. That’s why we have a DEIB Department overseen by a Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Officer to ensure the organizational strategy contributes to a workplace culture of belonging.

Analyzing the employee and member journeys through a lens of inclusion, gathering direct employee and member input, and keeping up to date with trends and best practices all inform a robust action plan to support ongoing initiatives. Those initiatives cover diversity recruiting, employee education, enhanced policies and procedures, community outreach, and more. DEIB Council and Steering Committee

Care Design NY has a DEIB Council and Steering Committee comprised of passionate employees at every level who volunteer their time to support increased organizational DEIB maturity.

With an overall goal of building an environment that acknowledges and celebrates cultural aspects and diverse identities within the workforce—empowering voice and choice—the intent is to:

  • Attain unity and transparency throughout the organization;
  • Nourish innovation across the workforce; and,
  • Increase connections with employees, members, families, and the communities we serve.
