As reported by ANCOR, "The U.S. House of Representatives has passed budget reconciliation legislation that if signed into law would create a historic investment in the chronically underfunded Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program. This funding is critical to ensuring that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) can leverage the services they need to support their health, well-being, and inclusion in the community. The $150 billion included in the House-passed bill is the minimum amount necessary for states to begin building a more sustainable HCBS infrastructure that can start to address the direct care workforce crisis."

The budget reconciliation legislation must now pass in the U.S. Senate. Click here to urge Senators Gillibrand and Schumer to include $150 Billion for Medicaid HCBS funding in any revised version of the budget reconciliation legislation.
